The National Trust has an ambitious 100-year vision to create a new
nature reserve covering around 56 square kilometres (22 square miles)
stretching from Cambridge to Wicken Fen. The priorities will be:
? creating new wildlife habitats to enlarge Wicken Fen nature reserve
which is home to 7,800 species, making it one of the most important in
Europe
? opening up new areas for the public to enjoy on foot, bike, horse and
boat, creating circular walks and new trails.
