Nazi Conservationists
Like the Nazi thugs were to human ethnics in the 1930s,
conservationists are nature's nazis to grey squirrels. They persecute
and destroy those who are native by birth but condemned by origin.
Thousands of grey squirrels are being slaughtered across the UK in a
campaign of hate directed at these small friendly and amusing rodents
in the belief that they are infecting so-called "native" red squirrels
with "squirrel-pox virus" known as SQPV. However, a recent incidence
pox on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales has largely undermined the
conservationists' claims.
Anglesey has two populations of red squirrels one of which is in
Mvnydd Llwydiarth forest at Pentraeth where, according to the
Forestry Commission,
"Red squirrels were close to extinction within Mynydd Llwydiarth in
the late 1990s. The forest contained significant numbers of grey
squirrels which were competing with the remaining red squirrels.
However, once the grey squirrels were trapped and removed, the red
squirrel population responded very positively, and by 2002, there were
almost 100 adult red squirrels living in and around the forest". So
we have it on good authority that grey squirrels have been
exterminated and are no longer present in the vicinity.
However, in February 2008 two red squirrels from this location were
found to have a pox infection that was originally thought to be SQPV
but which preliminary results were negative even although the symptoms
were exactly the same. This means that there must be an endemic pox
virus within the red squirrel population that has absolutely nothing
to do with grey squirrels, has never affected grey squirrels, and is
not being carried by grey squirrels. This is no surprise, as red
squirrels were infected in 40 districts in England in the early part
of the last century where greys had never reached.
It is clear that the red squirrel population is vulnerable to pox
virus irrespective of what name it is given and that grey squirrels
are paying the price with their lives.
The persecution and killing of grey squirrels should now be stopped
throughout the country.
It is also quite clear the CONservation hooligans are cashing in on
the grey squirrel cash cow, with scare stories popping up all over the
place and all based on pure fabrication. Not one has offered to
address the real reason for red squirrel problems, and they is habitat
destruction.
The RSPB scapegoated the ruddy duck and pushed for it's Europe wide
slaughter. That cash cow was worth £8m. The real reason for the
slaughter was because the WHD was being persecuted in Spain by hunters
and habitat destruction.
The RSPB push for the slaughter of hedgehogs, rats etc on various
islands around the UK. That cash cow was worth 4m.
Now we find the hedgehogs they were so keen to see slaughtered, and we
remember the comments of SNH employee Dr Malcolm Ogilvie when he
stated with obvious relish
" Hurrah! High time that these Nazi hedgehog invaders which have been
killing off the local birds are got rid of.
And, of course, you are wrong, as usual. The extermination programme
has been brought forward and is about to start :-)) "
Is this really the kind of person we need advising us on conservation
issues?
I think Malcolm Ogilvie and his cronies at SNH are the last people to
advise us on conservation. They advise on fake conservation.

First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
