No, a super troll far better than I has decided to imitate & mock Old
Codger in an attempt to
discredit Old Codger. Sadly for the said troll his mock forgery is so
good
that the only fools he fools are fools unable to spot the difference
between the genuine posts and the forgeries

Here's Steve Firths last known recorded speech to his Reichstag
buddies. We could do with an interpreter please.

Most of us, (The groups you cross-posted them to), don't really want to
know.

Then learn to use a kill filter like the rest of us. Just because you
want to play death, dumb and blind doesn't give you the right to
censor usenet. Whilst it's free the rest of us will enjoy the voice.

Headers trimmed from,
"uk.environment.conservation,scot.politics,uk.business.agriculture,uk.rec.walking,uk.local.scot-highlands,uk.rec.natural-history,uk.sci.weather,alt.politics.british,demon.local",
to only, "uk.environment.conservation".

No they weren't idiot.

Yes they were, idiot, and here they are as they are now,
"uk.environment.conservation,scot.politics,uk.business.agriculture,uk.rec.walking,uk.local.scot-highlands,uk.rec.natural-history,uk.sci.weather,alt.politics.british,demon.local".
This shows in the headers of the post I'm answering.
Just look at the headers in the message you posted and they are there for
all to see.
No one is attempting to stop you posting, I am only pointing out to you that
you are cross-posting to every one of those groups.
By your answer it seems you are not aware that you are doing so.
Let me explain it for you.
If you receive a post, and it has several groups in the headers, and you add
another and post, or just reply without trimming the headers, you will post
to every group in the headers. If we all did that then the net would grind
to a halt
I will again trim them to only, "uk.environment.conservation", but it is
only YOU who can send YOUR post to the groups YOU choose and there are nine
in YOUR headers.

Nope, you're wrong, he's right. You have just posted to:
uk.environment.conservation,scot.politics,uk.business.agriculture,uk.rec.walking,uk.local.scot-highlands,uk.rec.natural-history,uk.sci.weather,alt.politics.british,demon.local

"O'Ryan," asked the druggist, "did that mudpack I gave you improve your wife's appearance?"
"It did, surely," replied O'Ryan, "but it keeps fallin' off!"

Thank you.
I was beginning to wonder there for an instant.
Only for an instant, mind you<G>
