Locals raised the 2500 ukp we needed top buy it on bekhjalf of the Essex
Wildlife Trust in 1972.

I seem to remember some years back the Essex WT was involved in
something not so nice that was reported in the national newspapers.


Essex WT were steadfastly opposed to the RD cull, so they can't be all bad
