You, who admit to not being an "expert" in anything, are rejecting
scientific and mathematical evidence which you either still don't
understand because you don't have the necessary knowledge and can't
understand what you are being told (just possible), or which you have
decided to reject regardless of what you are told because your
anti-conservation obsession won't let you accept it (highly probable).

Where did I ever "admit to not being an expert in anything"?

How about this exchange from earlier this year:

---------------------------------------------------------
MAO
I had not realised you were an expert in matters concerning the
correct application of the scientific method.

AM
I don't claim to be an expert in anything.

MAO
But you are expert in something, nevertheless. Aren't you?

AM
I don't claim to be an expert in anything.

So, are you or are you not an expert in anything? You seem to be confused about it.

Is this URL, in your view, "garbage"?

http://www.squirrelweb.co.uk/articles/census.php

Absolutely. It is based on assumptions and estimates and presumptions.

What the site has are details of tried, tested and proven methodologies for discovering the numbers of squirrels, producing samples and estimates which can be rigorously tested with statistical tests that have been written by mathematicians whose books and computer programmes are used by scientists, not just biologists, across the world. For you to call this "garbage" is one of the most ludicrous claims you've ever made.

There are a number of problems for Angus. Firstly he won't see the difference between statistical tests and "statistics".

Then there is the conspiracy theory. The mathematicians are clearly in league with the scientists and have produced ropey tests. This is happening to such an extent that every mathematician in the world who has seen the tests has been silenced so that they can't tell the world of the con.

If you believe that you will of course believe anything. Anyone want to open a book on whether Angus believes it or not?

And if you say it is, do you think there is a single person involved in
squirrel monitoring who cares a fig what you think of it, or that what
you think of it will make the slightest difference to anything at all,
ever?

Temper, Malcolm. You're coming across as showing annoyance.

No, Angus, I'm just reminding you that it doesn't matter what you think because it won't make any difference.

I am only one of many people who are against the killing of grey
squirrels.

So what?

They do seem singularly hard to find!

Do all the "many people" agree with your dismissing out of hand (with cries of "garbage") methodologies that are used across the world and not just for monitoring squirrels but for monitoring a vast array of different animals, birds, insects and plants? Or have they got the intelligence to realise that your description of the methodologies and the results as "garbage" is itself "garbage"?

Your mind is as closed as it has ever been. Your inability to accept what you've read on that website is very usefully revealing of your mindset and the obsession behind it.
