I'm not clear of your position here still.
Well, why make comments on something you're not clear about.I wasn't. I was trying to find out whether you supported the poisoning of
raptors which Kirsty Mcleod espoused or not.
Are you a supporter of the Countryside Alliance, which clained to be
all sorts of things country, but without doubt majored on their
opposition to the banning of hunting with dogs. Surely not that aspect.
I am totally against the Countryside Alliance. They've latched on toTrue, and people such as myself, but not myself, who opposed hunting also

Im not sure why you thought it was better not to automatically welcome
CA members into P2.
Because they are predominately a blood sport supporting organisation.Agreed
Did you have that amount of influence with P2 that they rejected the
suggestion you mentioned.
No, I was only one of around 250 present. However I think the top table
could see that if they allowed this the newly formed P2 could be taken
over by a single issue agenda.
Did they accept your arguments despite your declared opposition to
their wish to legalise poisoning of 'vermin'.
As far as I recall there was no mention of this. I made the point that
I was against so-called conservation organisations and shooting estates
killing deer.
Likewise with P2, they generally did not like the presence in the
countryside of people, ie other than landowners, and their chosen.
I have always taken the view that if people buy property they should beIn England the polarisation of land ownershiop has never been as great as

in Scotland but many people here myself included are very supportive of
NGO's and local authorities who acquire land for ordinary people not born
with wealth or land to enjoy.
I don't think in any case that you would approve even if all the land was
bought at the going price. Do you think that the great majority of Scots
should be excluded from the great extent of the land. If so that is why
you are so isolated in your arguments.
I can see how you came to agree with that.
No secret.
However they specifically wanted to be able to shoot and poison and
kill 'vermin', without interference from NGO's or through the law etc.
That's what the NGOs are doing themselves. I oppose that stance comingThast is what the lawless landowners and their supporters do. If you have

evidence of NGO's doing it do report them immediately to the police. I
certainly would. I have not come across this, but have warned a local
landowner that if I had evidence of him doing what he said he would do (to
Sparrowhawks), I would immediately report it.
Would you?
It seems odd that you defended the bit you liked of their aims, while
criticising the liikes of the NGO's who opposed them, and they (P2)
opposed as one of teir objectives.
Not odd at all; entirely consistent. There I completely disagree with you.
