Deer shouldn't be shot either. You consider yourself free to consume
whatever you want and in what quantity you feel like, yet you would
deny other species the same right to eat to survive under penalty of
death. Typical selfish attitude.
I would expect the deer (and the goats) to end up on a dinner plate
(or as carrion for necrophages), given that they cannot achieve the
destiny nature intended for them - to be eaten by wolves.
Not for 350 years. And since you seem to know about deer being the
prey of wolves, what percentage of the deer population was actually
caught?
Pretty much 100% of them. Wild animals seldom die from old age.
