It is possible, even likely, that Angus is worried by CC from AGW.

CC from AGW? Please explain.

CC = "climate change" AGW = "anthropogenic global warming"

But
like most Nimby-types he prefers to salve any conscience he may have
by shifting blame elsewhere. The argument runs something like this -
'if the Prime Minister is using a big car and flying around in jumbo
jets then I can too and not feel any guilt.'

I don't care or criticise what anyone drives. It's up to them.

Exactly my point. By adopting this position you will feel no guilt
about your personal activities however badly the environment suffers
from them.

It's not up to me. I'm not a conservationist or environmentalist.
Those who are should be making the running bit they're fakes.

The same tactic works for failure to accept blame for environmental
degradation affecting nature. Here the argument goes - 'The
conservation organisations are less than perfect so I can reject any
personal responsibility for biodiversity loss.'

No. I'm not a conservationist or an environmentalist but I expect
those who say they are to be honest about it

Because they are imperfect you are not obligated to associate yourself
with them or their activities in any way.

They're not "imperfect"; they're fakes.

Like your concerns for animals, which is as just about as fake as one
can get. If you really cared about animals you would desist from doing
all those things that put them at risk of injury and/or death. But you
don't do you, you fake.

You eat food in the full knowledge that you are supporting farmers,
who in turn abuse animals in order to grow that food. Any idea how
many large herbivores are maimed and killed in Africa so that you can
have fresh green beans in January? If you were honest about your
animal rights stance you would stop eating everything farmed.

You use transport, electricity, oil - all of which maim and kill
millions of creatures daily. Have you any idea how many animals and
birds are injured and killed on the roads, by power lines, by marine
oil pollution. All of them died because of your consumer life-style.
If you were honest and really cared about those oil-soused Guillemots
you'd scrap your RR and walk everywhere. But you don't do you, you
animal rights fake.

Everybody does that as a necessity of living but I don't go out to
deliberately kill wildlife to suit some fake agenda.

If you were honest you'd be obliged to end your life immediately, but
you're a fake so you'll go on living and try to assuage your guilt by
pointing the finger at others. What an excellent strawman for you is
the RSPB, for sure. They do all the things that you perceive as the
antithesis of conservation, so your daily dose of conscience salving
is to post the same message several times daily on Usenet.

Well you don't get much bigger fakes than them. Telling us to stop
"cooking the planet" and at the same time accepting money for adverts
to do just that.

Like you buying milk when the supply depends on farmers fattening
calves for veal, perhaps the most obscene of all forms of animal
husbandry apart from 'foie gras'. You do use milk don't you? Yet I bet
you are appalled by the treatment of a by-product that makes its price
affordable. You are no better than the people you constantly berate on
this newsgroup, you fake.

You're confused - again.

I have never condemned farming.

I condemn the killing of wildlife for fake conservation agendas and
for so-called sport.

You "Fake". Fake person. Fake animal rightist. A real renaissance
fake, one might say.

One might not:-)

I can think of only one, and he's head-over-heels in love with you.
There - now I've gone and made Pete blush again.

<snip>

Good. You've finally got it.

I had it all along but as a scientist I have to keep re-examining the
basic premisses and returning to fundamentals.

You haven't had anything all along except the need to keep saying
you're a scientist. I bet you're not a real one. Probably just a
teacher with a ordinary science degree :-))

No answer :-))

I think I've hit the nail on the head.

But you wouldn't know
about any of that now, would you. Ignorance may be bliss, but in your
case it's a henious crime. As it is in anyone who refuses to examine
their raison d'etre as a matter of daily routine.

I think your heinous crime is pretending you're a real scientist.

Looks like it is.

What have you ever done for science?

Considerably more than you have ever done for animals, you fake.
I'm not an animal rightist but I believe those who are should be
honest about it.

Seems you're pretty small time with a big ego :-))

Do they do night classes on real science in France?

If they do, perhaps you could do yourself some good by joining one.

First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
