"Schedule I part 1 of the wildlife & countryside act. It is now an
offence to recklessly or intentionally disturb a Capercaillie whilst
it is lekking. For example if bird watchers visit a known lek and
disturb the birds this would be classed as reckless behaviour.
Capercaillie nests and incubating hens or hens with dependant young
are also protected from reckless or intentional disturbance. So if
you let your dog off of the lead in a wood where there is known to be
Capercaillie - it could be deemed to be reckless behaviour."

Someone should tell the Woodland Trust to monitor the dog owners that
let their dogs run wild in woodlands where the Trust says there's
capercaillie.

But that would cost them money better spent on fundraising :-(

Seems they don't care.

So what evidence do you have that "they don't care"?

I said "seems" they don't care.

If they cared they would take steps to stop people letting their dogs
run wild.

That's evidence in itself.

In which of their woods in which they say there are capercaillie are dog
owners letting their dogs run wild?

Whinny Hill at Loch Lomond.

Where do the WT say there are Capercaillie in Whinny Hill Wood?

In letters to our community.

Are you saying they're lying?

Ah, the archetypal Macmillan response :-((
You really mustn't judge everyone else by your own standards, Angus.

You didn't answer the question.

I happen to be writing a report at the moment about the numbers of some
of Britain's rarer breeding birds in recent years of which Capercaillie
is one, so when you mentioned them in WT woods, I was naturally
interested. And duly grateful to you for the information that you have
provided thus far. It would be useful to know when the WT wrote letters
to your community just so I'm not duplicating other information.

Do your own research.

Do you make a habit of writing books about something you know about
and depend on others to help you?

Using that formulae , I could write the book myself :-))
