Not unless they were the original plants imported which would seem to
be very unlikely.
The plants taken back to Spain were more likely to be "born" here and
as such were native to the UK. It wasn't the species the people took
back it was individuals.
Angus you poor demented soul can't you manage to get your head round the fact that throughout the world specialised terminology is developed for specialist situations. Biology/ecology/any study of living things is exactly the same.
Hiding your head in the sand and pretending it isn't so will not change things it merely shows up your inability to understand this point.
