With regard to rhododendrons. I noticed an advert in a newspaper last
week offering various varietes for sale. As it appears legal to sell
these plants I think there might well be a market for giving them for
free to those who think that the public should not be dictated to by
the fake conservationists as to what they should or should not plant.

If you had any knowledge at all about rhododendrons you would realise
that there is just one species which has established itself in the wild
in the UK and which sets viable seed and has become a major invasive
pest. You won't find this one for sale.

Thanks for the info, Malcolm. I'm not a gardener and never have been.
I understand it's called rhododendron ponticum But it appears it's
not illegal to plant it and gardeneds love it. Any idea where I'd get
some plants?

I doubt if anyone sells R. ponticum or that gardeners "love it".

Wrong again!

It would appear you are ever so slightly exaggerating again Angus AND trying to build your argument on a single sentence again.

A quick google shows out of the first 20 your reference at Number 5 then not a single other mention of them as a garden plant.

What might have been more honest was to say that they had been popular garden plants but were no longer mainly because of there invasive nature.

IF gardeners loved them the first pages would probably contain at least one site selling them. BY contrast a search for Acer palmatum gives 3 sites selling them as the first 3 (after the 2 sponsored links which also sell them) at number 4 & 5 is the BBC with a plant finder reference. I would suggest that this is a plant more worthy of being described as reasonably popular with gardeners let alone loved by them.

Not your most honest of posts and I thought you stood on a platform of honesty.
