The last time I counted, over 30% of primary schools in Carmarthenshire
had less than 50 pupils, and children in Carms start in Reception/Early
Years (not nursery/meithrin) at the beginning of the term in which they
are 4. If there are 2 classes, they are usually organised on early Years
+ KS1 in 1 class, with all KS2 in another. There is also at least 1
secondary school with less than 500 pupils.

term (Summer 1987) I visited a school in Clare are you near there ? Never
thought I could travel so far and still be in Essex. They had about 20ish
kids on role then.
It's moved to Suffolk now!
