Thank you, Guess Who, for some common sense in this discussion re cp. I could not believe it was happening in the 21st century amongst UK teachers.
Don't they tell them anything in teacher training? Positive re-enforcement
in the classroom, a simple set of rules, and teacher's authority can be
re-established. And fit in with your school, don't try to change it (or
society!) through your teaching. And the attractive thing about schools is
they can be so different. Find one that suits your own ideology if you are
