Dennis wrotied:
The purpose of this Code of Practice is to provide advice on how to
meet the needs of your rabbit.
Thank you Dennis. Some thought-provokin material here, e.g. bullet
point three in the general guidelines:
"The law requires that you must take reasonable steps to ensure that
it
• Is able to behave normally"
<ROFLZP>
Clearly, some alterations will need to be made to the Staffroom. For
a start, the brown chair needs to be raised to increased the livin
space underneath: "The living area should be high enough for your
rabbit to stand up on its back legs without its ears touching the
top." The Staffroom itself is adequate: "It should be long enough so
that your rabbit can hop three times along the length of the living
area as a minimum." I am concerned that my rabit rights have been
denied last week by British Airways on the flight from Rome to
Gatwick: "Make sure your rabbit is transported safely. On long
journeys you should regularly offer food, water and a litter tray..."
While a chicken salad sandwich and a complementary gin & tonic were
offered, I am sad to note that a prestigious national airline was
unable to offer yer rabit proper litter facilities on the floor of the
plane.
The idea that "your rabbit should be slightly pear shaped" is grossly
insultin and my rabit lawyers shall be makin representations to the
Welsh Rabit Office about this. The idea that rabits are a promble
runs through the document, e.g. "If your rabbit’s behaviour becomes an
ongoing problem, seek expert advice." This is also rabitist. As long
as rabits is providied with beer and an intrestin collection of hats,
they is not a promble.
Finally, there is some truth in the statement, "Bored rabbits quickly
become unhealthy, unhappy and potentially aggressive."
