Yep followed by a bit of maths using sorting circles!!!

It is building up to work on databases and the year 2 unit does go into that

Most of the year one units are absolutely rubbish. The last one was
Information around us where we looked for information in books, sounds,
pictures, then finally talking books and I got them to look at our
interactive encyclopaedia to show them that we can also find info from
computers!!!

Our children see ict as using the computers but most of the units only have
one lesson based on computer use. We have been teaching ict through
literacy, maths and science and then using our ict suite slot for
word-processing skills lessons and exploring the software we have.

I think this shows the need for an update as QCA is out of date with ict
developments.
