We have our personnel and hr covered by a company after going out of our LA
systems. We have a sickness policy that has triggers for interviews and OH
recommendations. We are allowed up to 9 days per year or 3 separate
occasions of illness. Whilst I should be ok having had officially recognised
mumps and an allergic reaction to piriton syrup I am over the 9 days
already.
It is making us all a bit jumpy as our Head says he will be sensible and use
his discretion about referrals he also says he has to act on Strictly Eds
advice. At least three colleagues have already asked to see their attendance
records!!!
However after only walking about 100 yards yesterday and having the thing
swell up again and being in pain with it all night I think calling in sick
is the only option. I can't teach if I am in constant pain when standing.
