No I only live in a 1 bed flat so I only have one phone. I just suggested
the multi ones nicking Greebs idea actually because that would solve the
problem of being able to answer phones in different rooms in the house.

The cordless phone works in the garden. Even at the bus stop.

In a previous school, as we only had a part time sec, we bought a
cordless phone, so that it could sit on someone's desk when the sec had
gone home (my desk when the HT was out). If a call was for an individual
teacher a child would take the handset to the teacher concerned, and
wait to bring it back. The handset would even work on the playing field.
