the multi ones nicking Greebs idea actually because that would solve the
problem of being able to answer phones in different rooms in the house.
I don't have a house.
In a previous school, as we only had a part time sec, we bought a
cordless phone, so that it could sit on someone's desk when the sec had
gone home (my desk when the HT was out). If a call was for an individual
teacher a child would take the handset to the teacher concerned, and
wait to bring it back. The handset would even work on the playing field.
