Sheila, why do you ask for advice when you refuse to take it?
I'm not refusing to take it, I don't understand it.
I was in your position. I had two phone lines. The main point was not in
my
'office'.
We put an extension on the main one.
I now have *one* phone line.
Broadband.
My original e-mail address with BT, and dial-up is there but I have never
used it since.
One phone in the office.
One in the living room
One in the dining room.
AND ONE SODDING PHONE LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This house has got the main socket in the hall downstairs and has
sprouted 2 extensions in the living room and one in a bedroom.
Same as mine.
I would have to go through fitted wardrobes to put in another
extension.
No. Why?
