But I can't upload to a website via broadband.

What??????????????

Do you?
I heard I can't.

Of course. From school and home.
Having said that, my school site was designed (by experts!) to be dead easy
to do.
But I cannot believe it isn't possible - where's Blankie???

Dunno.
To upload to a website, you need:
1) a computer with a connection to the internet
2) some web space to upload to
3) an FTP program to upload the files from your computer to the web
space.

It doesn't matter whether it is a dial-up or broadband connection, other
than the dial-up will take longer.

Where there might be a complication is if you are using the free web
space provided by an ISP - they usually require you to be connected
through them to access it (although not in some cases, such as Demon).

I have web sites lodged on Freeserve/Orange (my current ISP), on FreeUK
and on my own paid-for web server. I can upload stuff to the Freeserve
server or my own server when I am connected via Orange Broadband. If I
want to upload stuff to the FreeUK server, I have to click to disconnect
my broadband connection, then connect via dial-up to FreeUK. It only
costs 5p for the time it takes me each time, so hardly a major expense
for using the web space.
