Re: 2 pin plug!

In a mad moment - Sheel mumbled :

Sheel burbled:

I've started connecting cables and bits of equipment on my computer.

The bit that is supposed to go into the wall (or into my new surge
protector extension thing) has only got 2 pins.

They fit into the shaver plug that I use for my electric toothbrush,
but that says Shavers Only and is only 1 amp.

Are more powerful ones made that I can put the computer plug into?

I meant to say that this is the power cable connecting the *monitor*
to the wall/surge protector.

I haven't looked at the pc lead yet.

Check through your packaging. If the mains lead is detachable,
and has a Kettle type connector at the equipment end then there
MAY be a replacement UK 3pin lead thrown in the boxes somewhere.

This is a common practice amongst the box shifters -
Just slit the seal and push in the new lead,
leaving the old USA Or European one still there.
