Plenty to see in Bath - not far via the M4. You could travel out from
there to places like Wells or Glastonbury.

You could go for a few days in Shropshire, visiting Ludlow, Ironbridge,
Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, etc. Be sure to call at Hawkestone Park Follies

"a woodland fantasy of caves, follies, grottoes and secret tunnel and
pathways" - you could spend a very different half day there (when it's
not raining).
We were in Bath for the day on Friday, love the city. Could go again and visit the environs (always wanted to use that word)
