As well as the 6 RM One desktops we've just bought, the HT now says IShouldn't the laptops be the same as the desktops so that the children can
can order 3 laptops and 4 more printers - for a primary school.
use the same software whereever they are?
Printers - I like Canons. Easy to use, can print in different qualities
thereby saving ink, and <whispers> you can get 'Education' cartridges from
our supplier which are much *much* cheaper. Epsons are very expensive on
ink. Don't like HP.
Do you need that many? YOu can network or share printers (as well as
computers)
Anyone have any recommendations for what hardware to buy?
Also - IF I did treat myself to a new desktop for home, what would you
recommend?
PC World. (Seriously)
I'd actually only want the base unit if that was possible.
Why? Flat screens are much better/neater and the video card in the pc prolly
won't work with your monitor.
No. But you could always find an independent firm that will build you one.
Can you buy just base units in Tesco?
Just - get the most RAM you can, and a decent video card.
I'm sure the others will add to that.
(Oh, and broadband!)
