Ugh - Rodents!

Hi all,

School is currently infested with mice! Little buggers darting back and forth across the corridors!
One ate a hole right through someone's packet of Ryvitas, a little tunnel from one end to the other!

I had to abandon my classroom today as my back cupboard has rats (that come up the drain).
The daleks (exterminators) came and put poison down over half term.
Got in today and was met by the most ungodly stench!
Had to to all my teaching in the ict room and the SEN room. Less than not exactly conducive to a stress-free day.
Hunted the rat down after school and found it nestling in a pool of ooze in a vent at the back of my room.
Much grimacing and retching later I'd managed to flick it with a metre ruler into a zippy wallet.

Rushed to the bin then cleaned uop the puddle with goo from the cleaners' cupboard.
Schoolkeeper was off with gammy knee.
Head scuttled off after he had unlocked the cleaners cupboard.
So no choice but to do it myself.
Is removal of rats one of the 14 tasks we're not meant to do?

YUK!

Steve
