On 1st Feb, my school will be interviewing for a new teacher. All the
candidates have been asked to be prepared to talk about something they
have had success with in the classroom recently. What would you choose
? For me it would be a Y4 boy who aksed to read his work to me after
years of avoiding any reading he could. But this was due to another
teacheers hard work, not mine.
I also wonder what question you would dread to be asked in an
interview. The worst I ever had was "Do you like children ?" The worst
now would be "What do you see yourself doing in 5 years time ?" The
honest answer to that would be not teaching, but retired.

Interview question I heard recently! "Imagine this scenario! It's Monday
morning at 11.00 you are about to start a Numeracy lesson without warning
your interactive whiteboard suddenly shuts down at about the same time one
of the children tells you that there is a flood in the boys toilets. You are
just about to investigate when a child starts to vomit on the carpet. In the
middle of all of this an Ofsted inspector walks into the room. What would
you do?"

sounds like a normal day in the school in which I teach.
