It certainly seems to catch me rather frequently! I'm not too bad
today - I used the car to travel to and from, so saved that much
effort at least. And I've been drinking from my water bottle every
time I managed to dive back into the staffroom. Perhaps I can do
this, for a few more months anyway :-)
I bring my water bottle into class.
I've always taken a water bottle into the class with me.

The kids do now so don't bat an eyelid.
Does it drive anyone else mad the way they sit there sucking on it like it's a baby's bottle?
Yes.
And I can't bear adults doing it either.
Why can't grown-ups use a glass or cup?
Not allowed? Health & Safety? I've spilt a pint of water over another teacher's desk before now and had to mop it all up?

We're allowed.

Good for you, we're not:-)

And whilst I do see the H&S and accident potential, I have a thing about table manners etc and we now have a generation coming up that can only drink out of bottles and cans and I hate it!

I still got table manners; I uses the napkin to wipe my nose with like my mother taughted me to do.

And a former member of staff ( who was a little extreme in all things admittedly) used to carry around a HUUUGE bottle of water to sip from.
Bluddy ridiculous.

Define huge?
