In the primary school I work at, our sports day is Tuesday next. Weather
forecast says HOT. Anyone ever cancelled sports day because it was too hot
? I've cancelled in the past for rain, shortened it because of heat, but
should we cancel ? Not my choice to have it in the last week, staff
decision.

Ours is all day Monday(KS2)and our field has no shade :o(
I expect we shall just take it a little slower with frequent drink stops. We
did the Sports Relief Mile today and they survived (and District Sports). It
is supposed to be quite breezy like today I think.

And after all the hours it takes me to do the scoring spreadsheets and forms
it better not be cancelled!
