Software has its place in developing maths skills but you need to be careful
she develops the right skills.
Half the problem with those who "can't do maths" is their not understanding
the problem, that leads to a lack of confidence, the "barriers go up", and
panic sets in.
Speak to your daughter's teacher and find out what her specific problem is
before you go down a blind alley. If her basic number work is OK, don't
waste time on that but focus on developing her thinking skills.
Above all, don't make the "set" she is in an issue- setting is done so that
learners can be taught at a level and pace relevant to their current
ability. It isn't a life time badge- especially at 7 years old!
