Anyway, Italians pronounce English names using Italian phonetic
rules, and the same happens everywhere, so no problem if
somebody in the U.K. says VEEN-see or whatever else.

hmmm....so you do suspect, don't you, that your English would perhaps
be Greek and Latin to some one else ? If only there were more people
who shared this virtue of humility.
