I'll deal with them, but warily as they use some very dodgy sales /
marketing tactics. Take anything they say with a pinch of salt.

Just some examples:

Told them I was only looking for hands-on support roles and not project
management and consistently kept ringing me about PM roles

Good relationship with 3 consultants there and had told them I wouldn't
accept anything for under £18ph, but kept getting calls for contracts that
were £10 - £12ph. That was just an insult to me really.

Had several calls from the 3 consultants above saying they have clients very
interested in me as they thought I had an excellent CV and good skill set -
still months later heard nothing.

The worse was one consultant trying to almost blackmail me into taking a
role on the 2nd day I'd started a new contract. He really put me on a guilt
trip from hell ( I hated the new contract) and on subsequent conversations
the rate kept dropping, so told him to forget it.

The worse situation is the calls to say we have an interested client, it
sounds really hopefully and an excellent opp. and I get my hopes up and then
hear sod all.

Granted other agencies can be as bad sometimes, but Computer Futures just
seem to have an edge on this kind of behaviour. The way that I look at it
though, is that the business work is a hard, harsh and fast place and you
have to put up with the bull to get anywhere.

None of this means that I won't deal with CF in the future.

I have been out of work for nearly 5 months now!!!!
