So you didn't understand when he said "Every other retailer, besides ...
CCL ... has it listed for over £300 more"?

Look up the prices yourself before writing nonsense

Yes, that proves that you did not understand the colloquial use of the word "besides" (meaning "other than" or "bar") when the OP said:
"Every other retailer, besides Play, Dabs and (as I have since found out, CCL, which have always given me a good service)...." to show that the OP ranked CCL among the cheaper sellers (though out of stock).

Was it Ronnie Barker in "Open All Hours" who had the line "Yes, well my potatoes are only fourpence a pound when I haven't got any, too."?

The only reason I went with Play, rather than shopping around, was their price was one of the best around, and I had a £30 voucher to further reduce the price, so it was a no brainer. After screwing me around, I went with dabs, as a quick search showed only them to be anywhere close. It was only when I got my CCL newsletter in my work inbox on the Monday, did it occur to me to check them, and was suprised to see they were competitive, but slightly relieved they were out of stock.

Given the choice of all 3, CCL would always get my buisness, as they have always cared about customer service, that said, the price needs to be in the rough ballpark, and it needs to be instock.

Any, I now have my laptop from Dabs (their "security check" only took 4 days), and my next day delivery purchase took 6 days in total. I won't be ordering from them in a hurry again, they can go *** themselves with a very large broomhandle.
