...support in India.
Not always.
The call answering centre is in India, but depending on your product,
and warranty type, you can speak to, or will get put through to, an
Irish based support centre.
In fact, of the 2 most recent calls I placed with Dell, I was called
back within minutes to answer queries/confirm details I had recently
dealt with.
Admittedly these were business kit related calls.
My first and last Dell was a P133 bought in '95. Bro-in law, a more
recent Dell customer, has also vowed never to give them any more of
his sovs.
And by comparison, my workplace uses Dell kit from mice to servers, and
we receive absolutely fantastic after-sales support from them for failed
machines/kit. We have in excess of 500 PC's and 11 Poweredge servers.
Admittedly, kit was purchased with a mix of 3 and 5yr NBD warranty, but
at least Dell are keeping their side of the bargain.
We actually recently received a replacement SCSI HDD for one of our
RAID5 servers the NEXT DAY after having called at 4:30pm the previous
day.
General support calls to them for such crap as failed
mice/keyboards/motherboards have also been efficiently handled.
As for buying from Aria - no fucking chance!!
