This thread is throwing up some interesting opinions. And it's reminding
me exactly why this country is becoming an increasingly unpleasant place
to live. Many people seem to think freedom means being able to shop
every day of the year. That's not freedom, it's enslavement. Retailers
have succeeded in getting most of the nation hooked on the instant hit
of retail heroin; we have only to look at the debt statistics to prove it.

If it wasn't so sad it'd be funny. Still, the stupidity of the masses
has paid my mortgage off and given me a ringside seat at the approaching
recession, so I can't complain. Food is always the last thing people cut
back on.
