Now, whilst this is obviously of interest to the four PhD students
writing up their theses on psychopathy in Jersey [1], I doubt it is
gripping many on here. I, particularly, am in a state of
non-grippedness.

Believe me if anyone is a psychopath we're both psychopaths.

I think the problem was I liked her and cared about her but didn't
appear to respect her (on a number of occasions although I was only
teasing) therefore she liked me and respected me but didn't appear to
care about me. Meaning she was unsure if I respected her (very
important to her) and I was unsure if she cared about me (very
important to me). I can understand her coldness (due it past
expierience) she can't understand my lack of respect (due to past
expierience of people like her).

I dunno maybe I should of just asked her to marry me in the first
place and saved all the pissing about. What does a girl of her age
want in a relationship anyway... commitment or no strings. I think
she was more the commitment type which means any type of serious
relationship needs to go in the direction of engagement/marriage even
I didn't realise that.
It never really occured to me that I wanted to marry the girl from the
outset I just knew I liked her a whole lot - very special person
didn't know where it was going. I had the feeling she liked me quite
a lot but just thought I was a sweet boy not a man capable of having
a relationship with her or marriage. Then when she found out how I
was feeling she tried to act more mature like a women becuase she is
like a girl.
I don't think she knows how to be my girlfriend anyway and I wouldn't
want her to change herself to try - just be herself. I actually
offered her marriage in one of the emails I sent her becuase I knew I
was half serious about it and the only way those around her could see
I wasn't just some wierdo was to offer it (very unselfish of me as I
meant it).
I think she would marry me too if she thought I was serious about it.

She'd try to keep me by being mean and I`d try to keep her by being nice and
it would work becuase I`d get the satisfaction I need and she'd get the
love/respect she wants. She doesn't want me to know this about her.
