If you can get the Philips Toucam Pro looks like the one on top of the TV
here http://nicklelievre.redirectme.net/dabsvalueTV.jpg its excellent and
was regarded as the best dunno if anything has come out since that is
better I got mine from dabs.com I think a few years back for about £ 40
this is my ugly mug on it http://nicklelievre.redirectme.net/toucam.jpg
its really good under artificial light too. Don't think they do them
anymore but maybe something newer from philips would be as good. Also
check eBay for it.
Philips are a little on the dear side IIRC. What I was looking at was the
MSI StarCarm 370i:

Cheap and has good reviews for the quality, at the price (glass lens
helps). Over £50 and you start to get proper stuff, but I just want
something cheap & cheerful that looks ok over Skype/MSN at the moment.
One thing I've noticed though - how come they don't come with lens caps!? I
mean, isn't it an obvious inclusion? For one, it protects the lens,
particularly if it's any good. But the main thing is it's manual and you
know you're not being spied on! Sub7 & the like are quite fond of
listening/watching what's going on on a victim's PC!
