Maybe you can articulate long enough to explain to the rest of us, why
courier companies can't do evening shifts? (since you seem to be an
expert)
Because in the afternoon all the vans are out doing collections. The
collections get put on the artics to go to the central hub, departing
early evening. The artics from each depot arrive from all over the
country at the hubs where it is all sorted and each depots artic loaded
for the following days deliveries. They then depart for the depots with
the aim to arrive by 6am latest so each van run can be sorted so the
vans can leave around 7am.
If you want next day delivery from any point in the UK to any other
point, that's how it has to work.
