delivery of a monitor between 5pm and 9pm. Odd timeframe.
to make sure someone is in to accept delivery (usually for residential
delivery only) and try and stop the carrier leaving it with a neighbour or
nearest person they see next to the address, which can result in the goods
being stolen,
mobile phone companies did this a few years ago to try and stop losses due
to delivery theft,
i doubt the couriers or dell will do this for long as they cannot sustain
the expense of employing people to work at this time, i would expect this to
be because dell have complained to the carrier about too many items getting
stolen and this is the carriers solution for a small time period, or the
carrier insurers have advised the carrier that they will not pay out on
anymore losses if they do not put some measures in place,
