this is an account of apalling service by the online parcel delivery
service www.parcel2go.com and not about a computer vendor. since i
have used their service for computer items before and many small
sellers and buyers use it for items, i thought i would post it here.
i have used parcel2go.com last september for delivering a laptop. the
item was collected from my house and delivered next day to my chosen
destination. i thought the service was good as they had done exactly
what was asked of tem.
in early march i bought a second hand piece of audio equipment from a
chap in london. i booked the item for next day delivery with extra
insurance on wednesday 8th march for collection the next day, thursday
9th march.
no collection on 9th march so i sent them an email and they said item
would be collected on 10th march.
no collection on friday 10th march. so i rang parcel2go at 0870 12 12
101 at 3 opm. i spoke to a lady who said she would ring the courier
and get back to me on that afternoon. no calls.
so i emailed again on saturday. i had an auto reply to say that
because i had failed to book in my item through their automated
telephone shystem there could not be a collection attempt again. so i
rang first thing on monday morning, spoke to another lady who booked
the item again for collection that day. she asked me to ring her back
after 3pm if no collection. so i called her after 3 and she promised
to ring the courier and then ring me back but there was no call. this
happened on tuesday again. no collection and no call from them.
the person from whom it was to be collected was ill and away from
collection point on wednesday so i had to ring parcel2go asking them
to collect it on thursday 17th. no colectionm, same again on friday
17th. i spoke to someone called KEELE on the phone on friday afternoon
who said i should riong her at 12am on monday if there has not been a
collection.
so today, monday the 20th i have attempted to call them at 12.12 PM
and try to speak to KEELE. Someone called Bhavika answered said Keele
was off work today and she was going to chase up the matter in an
hours time. no call in an hour so i ranmg again at half one. she said
she was still trying to get through to the courier. earlier i had
asked to speak to a manager and was told that manager was on another
call. this time manager was out of office! so i rang again at 2pm and
spoke to a new person called Natalie. she hung up on me twice! this
time when asked to speak to a manger she said the manager had been in
a meeting all day. oh yes, she has promised to ring me back by 3pm.
i have to say that aprt from the very last call to natalie i had not
raised my voice at all and have kept calm about the situation. last
time i did raise my voice although it was not a direct shout at the
person answering, nor did i swear! so here is the story.
does anyone know any alternative to parcel2go.com where i could book
something without having an account? i do not mind paying up to £30 as
i am just desperate now.
best regards
puck
