Nor am I, truth to tell. I like the odd round of bzflag once in a while,
but that's about it.

Anyway, back to keyboards. I was in Maplin today (I generally avoid the
place, but I needed a 4011 CMOS IC PDQ) and I was surprised to see,
yes, laptop style desktop keyboards. They've got a nice brushed
aluminium finish model with a Synaptics touchpad built into it, a black
one that feels just like a Toshiba keyboard and a few others. Might be
worth checking out if you've a Maplin near you.

If it is the one I think it is, I went to look at it in my local maplins but the one they had on display looked as if it had fallen to bits and been put back together several times. Presumably done by "rough customers" rather than the staff or fair wear - but it did put me off buying it. And being glad that I don't have a shop.

However, it does seem to be one that needs one careful owner. It is very light, but I guess some of that non slip mat stuff would keep it in one place on the desktop - otherwise I imagine it might be always falling off or sliding away as you type.
