You could try a Happy Hacking keyboard. I had one and wasn't _that_ impressed (I found it too high) but I believe some rate it highly. Mine cost about £60 from the Linux Emporium a few years ago.

Reason? Nobody seems to make a half decent desktop keyboard anymore. By that I mean where the key action doesn't deteriorate over time. Not since the IBM type M have I found a keyboard that has the feel that suits me and keeps the same feel for years with the possible exception of the HP non-multimedia keyboard shipped with their PCs around the P133 era. Laptop keyboards OTOH don't deteriorate and have a feel that I like.
