See my comments to Trev. Would *you* like to spend at least 30 mins on
the phone to somebody configuring a system?
I will not be just ordering something but configuring every component
so that I get best bang for my buck. The I would want to go away and
think about it before ordering...then change something, perhaps.
If you think you have the skill to configure a PC to your specification
build the frigging thing yourself as well then.
_I agree with this_. I've had to rebuild my computer because it was
resetting itself at times, and for some other good reasons. A nice Enermax
case, good Antec power supply, nice Asus P4 motherboard, Nvidia 6600
graphics card, an extra 1 Ghz. of Corsair VS DDR 400 memory, Samsung HD
drives, etc... I kept my original P4 Northwood 2.8 Ghz CPU, of course.
You can't win though. Your computer is obsolete, almost as soon as you've
built or bought it.
My present P4 CPU has socket 478, which has now been superceded by socket
LGA 775.
