Re: DIY systems

See my comments to Trev. Would *you* like to spend at least 30 mins on
the phone to somebody configuring a system?

Depends on how much i was spending. i'd spend 30 mins wandering round
Comet before i purchased a TV, for example.

I will not be just ordering something but configuring every component
so that I get best bang for my buck.

Not sure how you will configure every component - they come as they
are, there's little if nothing you can do to change them. I believe
what you mean, is that you want to match components up to get "best
bang for your buck"...?

Perhaps by speaking to someone, you could also get first hand advice
like, "we've sold quite a few of those, but the GT model seems to be
quicker with that board" type thing?

The I would want to go away and
think about it before ordering...then change something, perhaps.

CCL do allow you to create a shopping basket that you can save and go
back to, AIUI.

Just how much are you thinking of spending anyhow, and what do you want
to PC for? I'm sure some folk in here will be able to come up with
suggestions for configurations if we know more about what it is you
actually want.
