My experience:

LaCie Porsche 80 GB WD internals - no problem

2 x LaCie Porsche 250 GB maxtor internals - 1 died within a week

The LaCies look good but cooling seems to be marginal - I don't like
maxtor drives

2 x WD 250 GB - no problems - good size case, seems to be well cooled

We also use the WDs at work without problem
