That's just not true. His contract is with you. It might be faster to do
so, but it's your obligation to accept a return and then evaluate the
problem, if that's what he wants. If you are 'unable to process the
matter', that's just because you don't want to. And in contravention of
the SOGA.

No, it's either 7 or 30 days depending on your T&Cs.
