A very interesting post, containing several libellous comments by El
Bubsio AKA James Taylor
Here is a copy of one of the many emails we have sent to him concerning
his £10.00 gaming mouse.

James,
Why can you not call the manufacturer to see if its a technical
problem? Until you do this we are unable to process this matter.
We will honour any returns, but as we keep saying we need you to
discuss the problem with the manufacturer.
Any delays are therefore directly attributable to your non action.

And still a proud member of the PCA with thousands of very satisfied
customer.
We always ask customers to check with the manufacturer prior to issuing
returns, unless it is something our own technical people can easily
deal with. We find that in the majority of cases it is user error and
the problem can be easily resolved, saving both us and the customer a
lot of time and money. In this case the problem could be one of many,
although I very much doubt many mice manufacturers actually produce
products that are not fit for purpose.
As for the DSR we have had many customers who think they can use it as
a means of returning things they wanted to try before buying. We do
take goods back if they are in the same state as when we shipped them
and occasionally if they are opened depending on circumstance. It is
our understanding and we have consulted solicitors and the Trading
Standards Organisation, that the cooling off period (Quoted as a
reasonable time and normally between 7-14 days depending on supplier)
It is intended for people who have simply changed their mind over the
purchase. In a similar way that financial organisations allow a 14 day
cooling off period.
Remember that customer service folk are just like you or I, normal
people that react the same way you do. Be nice to them and invariably
they will be nice to you. Post libellous comments and lie about them
and it really doesn't get you very far.
