Glad I'm not the only one to have had these problems.
I have now had some contact with Palm using the London number that a
previous poster gave on here. Although that number seems to be answered in
Dublin!
They created me a returns number, I couriered it over to them and it was
received last monday according to the Proof of Delivery with my courier. I
queried with Palm on Friday and they saud they had not received it and to
send them a copy of the proof of delivery. They gave me a fax number
(different from yours) inteh Netherlands to fax my POD to. That number has
never asnswered, They asked me to email the POD to them. Difficult as the
POD was on paper and I dont have access to a scanner.
Suddenly the online repair progress page says they received it on Friday
eve. I understand that my Palm is now in Czechoslovakia being repaired.
They have gone out of there way to make a repair difficult and to contact
them through their website is unbeliveably bad. The only number on their
website is for an office number in Reading, which gives no option to speak
to anyone and refers you to use their website. The very website that gives
no option to leave an email to them.
This is the LAST Palm product I ever buy. A Lifedrive by it's very nature is
a business tool and one would expect them to realise that when it breaks
there is a deperate need to get it fixed. I shall not go through this
routine of repair ever again.
