I have a disk shortage on my laptop. When I look with daisy disk, it
tells me I have 43Gb of pictues.
Problem appears to be that i have a lot of raw pictures here that I
don't need. All the raw pictures have a place upstairs on the iMac, but
I would still like the pictures here, just not the raw versions.
Is there some clever way of going through iPhoto and replacing the raw
versions with jpegs?
Now the upstairs machine in de-rawing them. I did think of converting
them to jpeg2000 as per the conversations about it the other day, and it
passed the first hurdle of working on the iPhone and iPad fine, but
unfortunately it falls over in photoshop.
Photoshop just says 'run out of memory' when using it either for opening
or saving.
It works ok with pixelmator, but pixelmator doesn't provide any options
on editing raw images.
Graphic Converter can do batch conversion jobs to JPEG2000 quite happily
- it'll do lossless JPEG2000 or even lossless JPEG if you want. Of
course, it might not be able to handle the particular raw files in
question, but still...
Do you mean Photoshop whinges about JPEG2000 files?
Rowland.
