Too true. I'm still waiting for a Mac Pro revision - wish I'd gone for

Almost went for a new MacBook Pro last week after being tempted by a
15"
belonging to a guest, dithered between the 13 & 15 inch, now waiting
for
an i5 or whatever in the new year.
I'm tempted by a new machine, but only because they're new and shiny. I
specifically bought a MacBook Pro (instead of a plain MacBook) because I
figured the extra outlay would work out cheaper in the long run, as it
would last me longer.
At just over three years old (I've replaced previous machines at two
years old or less) I've been proved right; my only real reason for
wanting to change is the fact that it runs so damned hot, and the newer
ones run cooler. That and the better battery life of the new ones...
I reckon I'll happily get at least another six months out of this;
likely a year and possibly more. If I buy anything in that time, it
won't be justifiable.
iPhone: almost but not quite - 3 GTi soon?
Ah, now the iPhone is a different story entirely. In many ways it's
become my primary computer; I certainly spend a lot more time on it than
I do on my Mac. And I can't wait until the next revision of the iPhone;
I'd really benefit from the extra speed, storage and memory it is going
to have. The more things I use it for, the more I find myself waiting
for things where a faster CPU and/or more memory would help a lot...
The new ones are likely to be out in June, and there's (almost) no
question I'll be buying one; either the top spec or one down from the
top spec. Can't wait.
