As an aside, Intelliscreen seems pretty good and useful, but lordy isn't
their documentation dreadful? How do they think they can document
something
purely with a list of FAQ?
Cydia's a lot safer than Icy: the author cares about such luxuries as
dependencies, proper uninstalls etc.
I'm loving the NetaTalk app - your phone appears via bonjour in the
finder when it's on the same wifi network. Very nice indeed,
particularly in conjunction with the SBSettings "keepalive" option to
keep the wifi on in standby....
Yes, rather necessary! I have a BossPrefs switch for disabling standby
which has the same effect.
It was only yesterday I noticed that there are a bunch of addins to
SBsettings. I may switch back to that rather than bossprefs. Is there
a netatalk switch for it?

I'm required to make at least one grammatical, spelling or factual error
per post.
There's a "keepalive" plugin for it which prevents wifi being turned
off when the phone goes into standby, and it works. I've not tested
it to see if that means it goes into standby and blanks screen but
keeps wifi active, or if it just doesn't go into standby.
It occurred to me that as all iPhones have the same root password,
using Netatalk in a network you share with other mac users might not
be all that wise unless you can change the password without causing
problems!
SBsettings is nice in that you summon it by swiping your finger across
the top of the screen from anywhere, and it pops up a HUD with
customisable buttons for the switches, rather than you having to run
BossPrefs as an app.
My favourite thing is the five icon dock, though. Phone, Messaging,
Safari, Mail, iPod. Stick the coverflow theme on it and a nice subtle
theme like "Bez" and it looks very slick.
Also like the notifier app that puts an icon for new messages/calls/
emails in the title bar.
Have you come across a decent app that lets you transfer files quickly
over USB?
