I've added nothing to my Mini and its perfectly useable, just like

What, ignoring the USB hub,
No need, it's got 4 ports.
Then your use isn't 'just like mine' even if the machine is the same.
TV dongle,
What that?
<sigh> It's the thing you have to buy / plug into a USB port because
there is no internal expansion to make the Mini into a TV.
Audio dongle
What that? I do have my Sony MDR-v6 plugged in the audio port, but then
that's what it's for.
A usb audio dongle is to provide the missing mic level audio input.
For use with std headsets etc.
and external hard drive you mean?
You really are nodding off, aren't you? I don't have an external HD on
my Mini. And it's perfectly usable.
Sorry, of course, just WP for you is it? Now you know your computer
can also be a TV tuner and then you find you can also record stuff you
will then realise 60G is very small (and why most people running them
as PVR's fit large external drives).
Some people do, some people don't, and most of us don't give a monkey's.
You would think that those who were the latter wouldn't be so
defensive about a flawed design eh?
I'm in the "I don't give a monkey's" category.
No!?
I offered the "want to
avoid knocking it by accident" as a minor advantage of its being on the
back.
I though you offered it as a preference rather than an advantage? I'm
not suggesting having it on the back couldn't be an advantage under
some circumstances (like if you leave it on 24/7 and or had good
access to the rear and not have the unit mounted in a restricted space
etc or if you were running it where you didn't want someone actually
turning it off easily (kids or public location etc)). Put one in front
of most people who weren't already familiar with Apples power button
hiding fetish and they would have to have a good look / feel about to
find the power button. Why?
But as Woody (I think) said, the location didn't sway my purchase
choice.
Nor mine (twice) but it certainly wasn't a plus.
And before yer blood pressure goes up, go down into the day room and
ask those still with their marbles 'where they think a designer should
fit a on / off button to a piece of electronic entertainment
equipment', something you might fit into a TV cabinet or entertainment
centre. Make it multiple choice if you like with possible replies
being:
On the top.
Underneath.
At the back
At the front
At the side.
I think "none of the above, T i m ' s backside would be favourite"
would be what they would all quaver, remembering that folks like that
usually have very pointy shoes.
Not sure you get the 'multiple choice idea Tim? ;-(
Seriously though (if you dare), what do you think 'people' would
typically say?
