For discussion and help on Microsoft's popular operating system.
Yet another example of the widespread ignorance of the difference
between 'popular' and 'common'.
But in the context given, still pretty accurate. (Reading it as
'Popular' not Microsoft's Popular .. as I don't believe most people
care who makes it or care that it's not considered good by a
minority).

Everything about your pretty little Mac.
No prizes for guessing the system orientation of the patronising gits
who set up these forums.
And they are also forgetting beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
For me the Mini (for example) is bland and weird. No HDD light, a
pinprick of a power light (that I've often missed and tried to turn
the Mac on, so turning it off) and a sort of asymmetrical design that
means if you stand it on it's left edge (so as to leave the power
button at the top where there is some hope of getting to it) you could
end up with the underside showing out? Plus is has a rubber base but
no rubber feet on the side ... or maybe it's not meant to be stood on
it's side (please don't tell the Apple police of this horrific miss
use of their design).
I'm not saying all PC designs are good here (before you get all
defensive).
And then people rave about the 'inside' of say a Mac Tower, how neat
it is etc etc?
1) I don't suppose most owners ever get to see in there so who
actually cares?
2) It doesn't *matter* as long as any wiring doesn't interfere with
air flow or fans etc.
3) It's easy to make it 'tidy' if all the parts (or interconnects for)
come from and are designed by the same Co.
It's like looking inside a modern car bonnet and seeing just a ***
of plastic with idiot-marked yellow handles for the things one should
check (like anyone does any more) and thinking 'that looks better'
(whatever reason it's there for).
If you prefer a plastic engine cover to seeing the actual engine and
components you probably shouldn't be looking under there in the first
place! ;-)
